Rapunzel Hostel is centrally located in the hip and happening area of Istanbul, “Galata” (in Beyoglu district) offering a budget hostel next to the famous Galata Tower. Istiklal Street, with its nightlife, shopping and famous cosmopolitan atmosphere is only 5 min away; as is Tünel Square, which is officially the trendiest place in Istanbul right now, with a mixture of cool cafés and bars. The old city “Sultanahmet”, which holds all the principal monuments of Istanbul, is also 5 min away by tram. The nearest metro station is 2 min, tram and bus stops are 3 min walking distance away from our beloved hostel. It is a place at the heart of the city, offering you a cosy and comfortable base from which to explore the beauty of Istanbul.
Our building was designed at 1872 by the architect Salvatore Flori, as a family building that had been lived in Galata area for over five decades. The building is recently refurbished by being faithful to its authenticity.

The hostel lies really central right at the bottom of the galata tower. The stuff is really friend and knows most of the insider tips of Istanbul. Room are really clean and beds are comfy. The breakfast is really good and included in the room price. They organize airport transfers and make sure you get the best for your money. Everything is closed by and you can walk into town.
Great hostel, you feel the owners love people and their city.
I had a really good time at Rapunzel. The staff was very friendly and informative. The location was really good: walking distance from Istiklal street (where much of the nightlife happens), but also within (longer) walking distance from Sultanahmet and Fatih, where many of the historic structures are. I loved the rooftop terrace, where I met some great people, and enjoyed one of the best views of Istanbul.
