Rapunzel Hostel is centrally located in the hip and happening area of Istanbul, “Galata” (in Beyoglu district) offering a budget hostel next to the famous Galata Tower. Istiklal Street, with its nightlife, shopping and famous cosmopolitan atmosphere is only 5 min away; as is Tünel Square, which is officially the trendiest place in Istanbul right now, with a mixture of cool cafés and bars. The old city “Sultanahmet”, which holds all the principal monuments of Istanbul, is also 5 min away by tram. The nearest metro station is 2 min, tram and bus stops are 3 min walking distance away from our beloved hostel. It is a place at the heart of the city, offering you a cosy and comfortable base from which to explore the unforgettable beauty of Istanbul.

“Great value for money!”
Great location & very friendly service. Rooms are basic but clean, and with everything you really need. The rooftop terrace is a great place to relax. Breakfast is good but I wish it would be served before 9:00.
“Best hostel !!! 5 Golden stars ”
Hostel has best location, affordable, good simple breakfast. You can also find trendy cafe's n gift shops near the hostel, staff was really helpful, clean dormitory and restrooms. “Excellent location, design & size”
Rapunzel was the perfect place to stay in Istanbul for the backpacker or budget traveller looking for a good base to explore trendy neighbourhoods and discover local charms. Galata is an awesome area with excellent cafes, bars, boutiques, art galleries and a lively vibe.
The hostel was clean, had a cool design and a safe, relaxed feel to it. Nice rooftop terrance to bring your own drinks to and meet other travellers. Noise travelled a fair bit through the hostel, particularly on the lower levels with noise coming in from the door and people coming home late, and it would have been nice if it had more to offer in terms of helping you discover the area - walking tours, or if the staff offered advice on where to go when you arrive. But it was great - good breakfast, clean, good beds, lockers, etc, all the hostel must haves. Would stay here again.
